The 1955 24 Hours of Le Mans crash: the worst racing accident ever. It is why Mercedes-Benz pulled out of racing and didn't come back for decades.


Mike Hawthorn went on to win the 1955 24 Hours of Le Mans in a Jaguar D-Type.
